It seems that the "soft" Fascism of all governments is turning "less soft". The City of Portland claims taxes on any (presumably "corporate") business conducted within its borders. It alleges that listing landscape projects on this site, is prima facie evidence of business being conducted, and the incurring of tax owed as a result.
The City of Portland (and Multnomah County) haven't proven sovereignty over such activity, jurisdiction for tax liability to be valid, or income from this activity being subject to tax.
The owner of this site is a "Natural Person", only subject to Natural Law — not subject to administrative law, Admiralty law, or "vountary compliance" coersion tactics used by governments at all levels. Moreover, demand for licensing for engaging in a "livelihood" is immoral and violates the spirit of the U.S. Constitution! It has reduced the population of America to a nation of "guilded cage" SLAVES!
The City of Portland has to prove jurisdiction, prove "income" from the activity, and prove that it is entitled to some portion of that "income". Strictly speaking, exchanging Federal Reserve Notes for someone's time doesn't produce "income" … unless you are working as an "employee" for some corporation (any corporation, by definition, is a "artificial person").
